The domaining industry for the third week in a row has not seen a six figure sale, but total sales for this week’s top tens added up to $359,120. A couple of these domain sales, like Therapists.com and GolfResorts.com, were generated at the DomainFest conference in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
Many domain investors today are realizing that developing directory web sites is a lucrative business. Their success usually stems from paid listings topped with advertising dollars. Online directories, who are replacing yellow pages, are a great way for marketing. Local small businesses can now target their customers through the internet without paying excessive listing fees with phone books. We can see this ongoing trend on this week’s chart with several directory related domain names being sold.
