World Cup Domains.. Ole! Ole!

Like millions of others out there, I too am a big fan of the World Cup Soccer. Yes,  the  international event that started back in 1930 and only comes around every four years will soon be played again! I’ve seen every World Cup since I was a child and through the magic of  television some that were before my time. Growing up in Europe soccer is a sport every kid plays and dreams of. One of those dreams was to someday attend a live World Cup soccer event.

Watching it on TV is very exciting, especially  when you’re among family and friends. I clearly remember in 1990  we all gathered around a TV in a restaurant in Little Italy  NYC as the Azzurri  (Italy) lost a semifinal to Argentina in a  shootout, the energy in the room was amazing. But being there live at a World Cup event is like a hundred times better, to witness thousands of screaming fans shake the stadium is incredible. The excitement.. the electricity.. the shouting “Ole! Ole!” and then GOOOOAAAALLLL!!!

In 1994 while living in New Jersey, I had the privilege to live out the dream when it was held here in the U.S.  The opportunity came when several games were held at Giants Stadium, something I will never forget.  I highly recommend to attend one of these events if you have not done so, it’s an experience of a lifetime.

You can say I’m a bit of fanatic when it comes to the World Cup Games, but the passion is shared by sports fans around the globe. On Saturday Friday the 2010 World Cup in South Africa will begin, so.. to get in the spirit of things, I thought it would be fun to do some research and see what generic domains are out there. What I’ve found is many domainers like myself are World Cups fans too and the proof is obvious as all the highly searched terms domains are taken.
